Based on WANG Mengying's proposition that"the human body depends on the free flow of qi,and all diseases arise from stagnation,"this paper systematically elucidates the intrinsic relationship between qi movement stagnation and true or false patterns,and proposes that qi movement stagnation constitutes the pivotal mechanism underlying both true or false cold and heat patterns as well as true or false deficiency and excess patterns.Drawing upon medical records and theoretical discussions of famous physicians,the paper demonstrates that the key to differentiating true and false patterns lies in the selective analysis of clinical manifestations and in tracing the causes of stagnation.In clinical treatment,emphasis should be placed on resolving stagnation through appropriate therapeutic methods selected according to both the fundamental pathogenesis and the most urgent clinical condition.The paper aims to provide a new perspective and practical approach for pattern differentiation and treatment of true and false patterns.
