This review summarizes the current status of standardization research on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)decoction pieces based on a review of relevant literature,focusing on four aspects:optimization of prepara-tion processes,quality control technologies,pharmacodynamic validation,and clinical efficacy evaluation.It identi-fies existing issues in current research:high difficulty in quality control,declining applicability of traditional identi-fication methods,inconsistent particle size standards,and a lack of a universal quality evaluation system;insufficient foundational research,with a lack of targeted specifications for processing and decoction parameters for materials of different textures,and inadequate study of key parameters;weak clinical support,including unclear pharmacological mechanisms and dose-effect relationships,and a lack of systematic evidence for clinical promotion.Future efforts should focus on building a precise quality control system integrating multiple technologies,establishing differentiated processing and decoction specifications based on material texture,creating a comprehensive standardization system for the entire process,and deepening evidence-based research,thereby providing support for the standardization and industrialization of TCM decoction pieces.
