Phenotypic Diversity of Natural Populations in the Main Distribution Areas of Quercus mongolica

通过对不同群体蒙古栎(Quercus mongolica)资源多样性进行研究,揭示其表型多样性机理,为蒙古栎资源保护及优良群体选育提供参考.以中国东北、华北、内蒙古地区的 36 个蒙古栎天然群体为对象,通过测定叶片、枝干等 17 个表型性状,结合地理气候因子,并通过表型变异率、主成分分析、相关性分析等方法分析表型多样性及变异特征.结果表明:蒙古栎群体表型变异系数为 12.11%~46.08%,群体间变异(方差占比 66.09%)显著高于群体内变异(方差占比 20.77%),表型分化系数为 43.60%~87.55%.胸径的 Shannon-Weaver 多样性指数最高,为 2.69;叶面积的 Shannon-Weaver 多样性指数最低,为 0.34.内蒙古通辽市科左后旗等种群的遗传多样性较高.主成分分析表明,胸径、叶片大小及形状是表型分异的主要驱动因素.聚类分析将 36 个群体分为 2 类,环境隔离及局部气候差异导致种群独立分化.蒙古栎种群具有丰富的遗传变异,其表型性状变异主要存在于群体间,并在长期自然选择中形成表型可塑性及资源分配权衡,使其能适应多样生境.

This study investigated the resource diversity of Quercus mongolica in different populations to reveal the mechanism underlying its phenotypic diversity,providing a reference for the conservation of Q.mongolica resources and the breeding of superior populations.Thirty-six natural populations of Q.mongolica from Northeast China,North China,and Inner Mongolia were used as materials.Seventeen phenotypic traits,including leaf and branch characteristics,were measured,combined with geo-climatic factors.Phenotypic diversity and variation patterns were analyzed using the phenotypic varia-tion rate,principal component analysis(PCA),and correlation analysis.The results showed that the coefficient of pheno-typic variation of Q.mongolica populations ranged from 12.11%to 46.08%.Variation among populations(66.09%of to-tal variance)was significantly higher than that within populations(20.77%of total variance),and the phenotypic differ-entiation coefficient ranged from 43.60%to 87.55%.The Shannon-Weaver diversity index was the highest for diameter at breast height(DBH)(2.69)and the lowest for leaf area(0.34).Relatively high genetic diversity was observed in popu-lations from Horqin Left Rear Banner,Tongliao City,Inner Mongolia.Principal component analysis revealed that DBH,leaf size,and leaf shape were the main drivers of phenotypic differentiation.Cluster analysis divided the 36 populations in-to two groups,and independent population differentiation was caused by environmental isolation and local climatic differ-ences.Q.mongolica populations possess abundant genetic variation,and phenotypic trait variation mainly occurs among populations.Phenotypic plasticity and resource allocation trade-offs have evolved under long-term natural selection,enab-ling the species to adapt to diverse habitats.
