The Evolution of Entering Tone Rhymes in the Yancheng Dialect over the Past Century:A Review of Cai Huaxiang's Xu's Phonetic Vocabulary:Yancheng Dialect a Century Ago
盐城方言属于江淮官话的洪巢片,因其地处洪巢片与泰如片的交界地带,有不少泰如方言的特点.本文首先对盐城方言及其研究进行概括,然后对《徐氏类音字汇:一百年前的盐城话》的内容和价值进行重点述评,最后从入声韵分合的角度对百年来盐城方言语音的演变进行探讨.
The Yancheng dialect belongs to the Hongchao division of Jianghuai Mandarin.Located at the transitional zone between the Hongchao and Tairu divisions,it exhibits many features characteristic of the Tairu dialect.This paper first provides an overview of the Yancheng dialect and relevant studies.It then critically reviews the content and academic value of Xu's Phonetic Vocabulary:Yancheng Dialect a Century Ago.Finally,the paper explores the phonetic evolution of the Yancheng dialect over the past century,specifically from the perspective of the divergence and convergence of entering tone rhymes.
