随着 5G 非地面网络标准化的推进以及 6G 全时全域覆盖通信愿景的提出,手机直连卫星通信作为构建 6G星地融合网络的潜在手段之一,不仅能为终端用户提供全球范围的泛在接入,还能支持全时域高速稳定的网络服务.介绍了以 3GPP 非地面网络协议为核心的手机直连卫星通信标准演进历程和未来发展趋势;分析了手机直连卫星通信从卫星透明转发过渡到基站功能上星的网络架构;重点讨论了手机直连卫星通信组网中空口接入、链路自适应以及资源管理等关键技术存在的挑战以及未来的发展方向;总结了文章内容并展望手机直连卫星通信的未来研究方向.

With the advancement of 5G Non-Terrestrial Network(NTN)standardization and the emergence of the 6G vision of ubiquitous,all-time,and all-domain connectivity,direct-to-cell satellite communication has become a promising approach for building integrated space-ground networks in the 6G era.This technology not only enables ubiquitous global access for mobile users but also supports reliable,high-speed communication services across diverse geographical and temporal scenarios.This paper reviews the evolution and future development trends of direct-to-cell satellite communication standards,focusing on the 3GPP NTN framework.It further analyzes the transition of network architectures from satellite transparent relay systems to architectures in which base station functionalities are deployed onboard satellites.Particular attention is given to the challenges and future research directions associated with key networking technologies,including radio access,link adaptation,and resource management in direct-to-cell satellite communication systems.Finally,the paper summarizes the current state of research and outlines potential future directions for the development of direct-to-cell satellite communication networks.
