Refractory chronic cough falls under the category of"stubborn cough"in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).It is prone to prolonged illness,often imposing a significant economic burden on patients and impacting their physical and mental health.Professor Wang Sheng,with extensive clinical experience in TCM respiratory medicine,has developed a novel treatment method for refractory chronic cough based on the theory of invigorating Qi and promoting Qi elevation.This method focuses on tonifying the spleen and promoting the upward movement of clear Qi,harmonizing the Qi of the liver and lungs,and restoring the smooth flow of Qi through the spleen,liver,and lungs.Ultimately,this aims to achieve the therapeutic goal of"restoring normal Qi flow and stopping the cough."After years of clinical prac-tice,significant clinical efficacy has been achieved,providing new treatment ideas and methods for refractory chronic cough in TCM.
