As a powerful country in vocational education,Germany's external quality evaluation system has been fully learned by Australia,France,South Korea and other countries,demonstrating its inherent scientificity and timeliness.Sorting out the development process and main characteristics of Germany's external quality evaluation system for vocational education and summarizing its implications for constructing a localized external quality evaluation system for vocational education in China are essential to promoting the high-quality development of vocational education in the new era.The diversity of evaluation subjects,scientificity of evaluation standards and transparency of evaluation processes are the root of the vitality of Germany's external quality evaluation system for vocational education,and also an important direction for China to construct a localized external quality evaluation system for vocational education.Drawing on German experience,China should improve the legislative mechanism of vocational education to consolidate the foundation for quality evaluation;build a coordinated internal and external evaluation pattern to stimulate enterprises'motivation for quality evaluation;and establish professional evaluation institutions with strong supervision to promote the openness and transparency of educational evaluation.
