The systematic guidelines or documents were lacked on the home-based management of pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB)patients in China.To standardize management practices and improve treatment outcomes during home-based care,the consensus development team formulated the"Expert consensus on home-based treatment and management of pulmonary tuberculosis patients".This consensus draws on practical experience and methods of home-based PTB management in China,clinical practice guidelines,best available clinical evidence,and relevant international research.Focusing on key aspects of home-based PTB management,the consensus presents 20 recommendations across eight core dimensions:medication adherence,self-monitoring of disease status,disinfection and isolation,nutritional management,psychological support,home management for special PTB populations,rehabilitation exercises,and follow-up examinations.This consensus aims to provide a scientific and practical reference for clinical healthcare professionals at all levels of medical institutions and community health centers in implementing home-based management for PTB patients.
