Reasons for the fracture of spiral spring of a heavy-duty truck
某重型卡车螺旋弹簧在使用过程中发生断裂.采用宏观观察、化学成分分析、扫描电镜分析、硬度测试和金相检验等方法分析螺旋弹簧断裂的原因.结果表明:螺旋弹簧断裂起源于零件端头磨削平面,磨削平面有二次淬火现象,形成了白亮的马氏体;螺旋弹簧在服役时受到反复的压缩或拉伸载荷,使异常的白亮马氏体处萌生了微裂纹,裂纹迅速扩展,最终导致螺旋弹簧发生一次性断裂.
A certain spiral spring of a heavy-duty truck broke during use.The fracture cause of the spiral spring was analyzed using macroscopic observation,chemical composition analysis,scanning electron microscopy analysis,hardness testing,and metallographic examination.The results show that the fracture of the spiral spring originated from the grinding plane of the part end,and there was a secondary quenching phenomenon on the grinding plane,forming white bright martensite.The spiral spring was subjected to repeated compression or tensile loads during service,causing microcracks to form at the abnormal white bright martensite,which rapidly propagating and ultimately leading to a one-time fracture of the spiral spring.
