Effects of Sphaerolecanium prunastri Damage on Nutrient Content of Tianshan Wild Apricot

[目的]新疆野杏是世界栽培杏的祖先,也是天山野果林的主要建群种之一,具有重要的种质资源保育价值和生态服务功能.近年来,杏鬃球蚧(Sphaerolecanium prunastri)的入侵导致野杏种群大面积衰退,但针对其种群衰退背后的生理养分相关研究仍较为缺乏.[方法]通过测定野杏不同受害时间(2龄若虫越冬前期、越冬 2龄若虫取食期、雌虫最大取食期)、受害程度(未受害、轻度、中度、重度)及其不同枝龄(新梢、2和3龄枝)韧皮部的营养物质,并结合各营养器官(新梢、枝条、主干、细根)的养分差异分析,明确该害虫对野杏造成的生理性损害.[结果]在枝条主要受害部位,韧皮部总糖(TS)升高10.6%~33.8%、可溶性蛋白(SP)升高24.4%~61.1%,可溶性糖(SS)在7月重度危害时显著降低30.9%,氨基酸(AA)降低 13.4%~66.5%;在野杏的各枝龄间韧皮部主要营养物质普遍降低,其中 2、3龄枝的可溶性糖降低26.7%~30.8%,新梢与 2龄枝的可溶性蛋白降低 33.1%~37.1%,而氨基酸在各枝龄普遍降低 22.0%~66.5%.不同营养器官的养分指标未呈现一致的变化规律,但长期受害后部分营养器官出现特异性响应:细根全碳与新梢可溶性糖分别升高10.7%和63.1%,而细根全氮降低17.9%.[结论]杏鬃球蚧危害致使野杏碳氮代谢失衡,主要表现为光合产物的运输受阻与氮素的吸收同化受限.本研究揭示了该害虫对野杏营养运输的干扰过程,为野杏种群保育提供了理论依据.

[Objective]Armeniaca vulgaris is the ancestor of cultivated apricots globally and one of the dom-inant tree species in the Tianshan wild fruit forests,where it plays a critical role in germplasm conservation and ecosystem services.In recent years,the invasion of Sphaerolecanium prunastri led to a large scale decline of wild apricot population,but there is still a lack of research on the physiological nutrients behind its population decline.[Method]Physiological damage caused by S.prunastri was assessed by measur-ing the phloem nutrients of different damage time(early overwintering stage of 2nd instar nymphs,feeding period of 2nd instar nymphs and maximum feeding period of female insects),damage degree(undam-aged,mild,moderate and severe)and different branch ages new shoots,2nd and 3rd instar branches)of wild apricot,and combining with the nutrient difference analysis of various vegetative organs(new shoots,branches,trunks and fine roots).[Results]In the primary damaged branch tissues,phloem total sugar(TS)increased by 10.6%~33.8%,and soluble protein(SP)increased by 24.4%~61.1%,whereas soluble sug-ar(SS)and amino acid(AA)decreased by 30.9%,and 13.4%~66.5%,respectively.The main nutrients in the phloem of A.vulgaris were generally reduced at different branch ages.The soluble sugar of the 2nd and 3rd branches decreased by 26.7%~30.8%,the soluble protein of the new shoots and 2nd branches decreased by 33.1%~37.1%,and the amino acid decreased by 22.0%~66.5%at each branch age.Nutri-ent responses varied among vegetative organs and did not follow a uniform pattern;however,certain or-gans exhibited specific long-term response to infestation.Notably,total carbon of fine roots and soluble sugar of new shoots increased by 10.7%and 63.1%,respectively,while total nitrogen of fine roots de-creased by 17.9%.[Conclusion]Infested by S.prunastri disrupts carbon and nitrogen metabolism in wild apricot,primarily through impaired transport of photosynthetic assimilates and constraints on nitrogen ab-sorption and assimilation.These findings reveal the disruption of nutrient transport caused by this pest in wild apricot and provide a theoretical basis for the conservation of wild apricot populations.
