Precancerous gastric lesions are special pathological changes characterized by certain degrees of cellular atypia in the gastric mucosa,which occur gradually after prolonged chronic stimulation but do not yet meet the diagnostic criteria for gastric cancer.The patients with this condition often exhibit long disease duration,atypical symptoms and significant emotional symptoms.Professor SHI Zhaohong,after extensive clinical practice,has proposed that"liver stagnation,spleen deficiency,and blood stasis"are important pathogenic factors in precancerous gastric lesions,and that"strengthening spleen,soothing liver and promoting blood circulation"are important therapeutic principles.His empirical formula Tiaozhong Xiaowei Fang(调中消萎方)is modified ac-cording to clinical symptoms and has achieved gratifying therapeutic effects in treating precancerous gastric lesions.This paper aimed to summarize Professor SHI Zhaohong's experience in treating precancerous gastric lesions,including a case study,in hopes of expanding the diagnostic and treatment approaches for this condition.
