Artificial intelligence-assisted histological assessment and prognosis prediction in ulcerative colitis
将人工智能(artificial intelligence,AI)整合到溃疡性结肠炎(ulcerative colitis,UC)中,通过分析组织学图像,能够精确、客观地评估疾病活动性,从而促进对UC组织学缓解、主要不良后果和治疗反应的预测.该文阐述AI在UC组织学应用中的研究进展,包括辅助评估组织学活动性;辅助诊断结肠炎相关异型增生;辅助预测不良后果和治疗反应;辅助屏障愈合自动评估.虽然目前AI在UC组织学中的应用有局限性且面临挑战,但未来会改变对UC疾病的管理,有助于患者的个性化和精准化治疗.
Integrating artificial intelligence(AI)into ulcerative colitis(UC)by analyzing histological images en-ables precise and objective assessment of disease activity,thereby promoting the prediction of histological remission,major adverse outcomes,and treatment response.This article outlines the research progress of AI applications in UC histology,including:assisting in the assessment of histological activity;assisting in the diagnosis of colitis-associated dysplasia;assisting in the prediction of adverse outcomes and treatment response;and assisting in the automated as-sessment of barrier healing.Although the application of AI in UC histology currently faces limitations and challenges,it will transform UC management and contribute to personalized and precision medicine for patients.
