江西省修河流域12种森林鸟类繁殖巢的特征记述OA

To fill the gap in the ecological data of bird breeding nests in the Jiulingshan area of the Xiu River Basin in Jiangxi province,this study aimed to evaluate the adaptability of bird populations and provide a basis for formulating conservation strategies.From March to Au-gust 2023,a combination of systematic search and fixed-point observation methods was used to record in detail the nest morphology,egg characteristics,nest-site environment and breeding behaviors of birds in Jiuling Mountain National Nature Reserve.The results showed that:1)A total of natural breeding nests of 12 bird species were recorded,including the Silver Pheasant(Lophura nycthemera),Collared Finchbill(Spizixos semitorques),Light-vented Bulbul(Pycnonotus sinensis),etc.,among which the breeding nests of 9 spe-cies were recorded for the first time in Jiangxi province;2)There were significant differences in nest-site characteristics among different species.For example,silver pheasants preferred ground nests in secondary forests,whereas Red-rumped Swallow(Cecropis daurica)nests were highly dependent on human structures;3)the interspecific behavior of Red-billed Starling(Spodiopsar sericeus)occupying Red-rumped Swallow nests was also documented for the first time.This study systematically revealed the diversity of local bird breeding nests and their habitat specialization,providing an important scientific basis for the conserva-tion and management of regional bird diversity.
