肌骨超声在中医治疗膝骨关节炎中的应用进展OA

Compared with surgical treatment for knee osteoarthritis(KOA),traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)therapies have the advantages of high safety,convenient operation,and less patient discomfort.Musculoskeletal ultrasound(MSUS)can play an auxiliary role in TCM diagnosis of KOA,including syndrome differentiation and classification,disease and prognosis evaluation,and the objectification of meridian tendon palpation.In addition,MSUS can clearly and dynamically visualize soft-tissue structures of the knee joint,such as cartilage,menisci,ligaments,tendons,and synovium,and accurately detect objective quantitative indicators including joint effusion and synovial thickness.Combined with traditional subjective functional rating scales related to the evaluation of TCM efficacy in KOA,MSUS helps establish a more scientific and comprehensive efficacy evaluation system.Furthermore,MSUS can be applied to preoperative approach planning for TCM needle-knife therapy for KOA and can also provide real-time intraoperative guidance,thereby effectively improving the accuracy and safety of needle-knife procedures.Therefore,MSUS can play an important role in all aspects of TCM diagnosis and treatment of KOA,including diagnosis,interventional adjunctive therapy,and efficacy evaluation.Using the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform as retrieval databases,this article systematically reviews the relevant research achievements regarding the application of MSUS in the TCM diagnosis and treatment of KOA from January 2020 to July 2025,with the aim of providing a reference for further in-depth research and wider clinical application of MSUS in TCM.
