Kidney stones are a common disease of the urinary system.The treatment of kidney stones is influenced by a variety of factors,including stone composition,stone location,congenital renal structure,and the surgical experience.Therefore,selecting an appropriate treatment method for different patients has become an urgent issue to address in clinical diagnosis and treatment.At present,the main di-agnostic methods for kidney stones include computed tomography,ultrasonography,and X-ray;the main treatment methods include ure-teroscopy(URS),percutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL),extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL),and medication.This article reviews the progress in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney stones.
