Temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of phytoplankton in the Heyuan Section of the Dongjiang River and its relationship with water quality factors

为进一步摸清东江河源段浮游植物时空分布特征和水环境因子,本研究在东江河源段设置6个站点(S1、S2、S3、S4、S5和S6),监测水质因子[pH、水温(WT)、溶解氧(DO)等]和浮游生物群落特征(种类组成、丰度、生物量和多样性等),并分析浮游植物与水质因子的关系.结果表明,该江段水质指标pH、NH3-N、TP和CODMn达地表水环境质量Ⅱ类标准,S6、S5和S1站点水质相对较差.调查区域共鉴别出301种浮游植物,以绿藻门、蓝藻门和硅藻门占绝对优势;浮游植物的丰度和生物量呈现出夏季末端高于冬季末端特征;闸口附近断面(S1)浮游植物的丰度和生物量明显高于其余断面.相关性分析表明,pH、DO及WT是调控东江河源段浮游植物的重要环境影响因子.本研究为该江段的科学保护与管理提供参考.

To further elucidate the spatiotemporal distribution characteristics of phytoplankton and water environmental factors in the Heyuan Section of the Dongjiang River,6 sampling sites(S1,S2,S3,S4,S5,and S6)were established in this section.Water quality parameters[e.g.,pH,water temperature(WT),dissolved oxygen(DO)]and phytoplankton community characteristics(species composition,abundance,biomass,and diversity)were monitored,and the relationship between phytoplankton and water quality factors was analyzed.The results showed that the water quality indicators of this river section,namely pH,NH3-N,TP and CODMn,meet the Class II standards for surface water environmental quality.However,water quality at sites S6,S5,and S1 was relatively poorer.A total of 301 phytoplankton species were identified,with Chlorophyta,Cyanophyta,and Bacillariophyta being the dominant groups.The abundance and biomass of phytoplankton were higher at the end of summer than at the end of winter.At the cross-section near the sluice gate(S1),phytoplankton abundance and biomass were significantly higher than at other sections.Correlation analysis indicated that pH,DO,and WT were important environmental factors regulating phytoplankton in the Heyuan Section of the Dongjinag River.This study provides a reference for the scientific conservation and management of this river section.
