Surveillance of FMD-O Antibodies in Goats in Hunan Province from 2021 to 2024

为了解近年来湖南省羊O型口蹄疫(FMD-O)的免疫抗体水平及变化趋势,2021-2024年连续对湖南省羊群开展FMD-O抗体检测,共检测460场次、6 348份羊血清样品,按年份、季节、区域和场点类型,对检测结果进行分类统计分析.结果显示:2021-2024年,湖南省羊FMD-O抗体样品平均合格率为71.25%(95%CI:70.14%~72.36%),场平均合格率为67.39%(95%CI:63.11%~71.67%),不同年份抗体水平整体呈波动性上升趋势;抗体合格率在时间、空间和群间存在统计学差异(P<0.05),春、秋两季合格率相对较高,湘中、湘西地区免疫效果优于湘北、湘南地区,规模场抗体水平高于散养户.结果表明,近年来湖南省羊群FMD-O整体免疫效果较好,符合国家FMD防控要求,但抗体水平在区域、季节及群体间分布不均衡,存在防控薄弱环节.建议强化冬季、抗体水平偏低区域和散养户的监测与补免工作,持续巩固并提升全省免疫抗体水平,降低疫情发生与流行风险.

In order to investigate the level and trend of immune antibody against foot-and-mouth disease type O(FMD-O)in goats in Hunan Province in recent years,a detection was continuously conducted from 2021 to 2024,covering 6 348 goats serum samples and 460 farms/times,followed by statistical analysis based on the results by year,season,region and type of premises.The results showed that,for FMD-O antibodies,the average qualification rate of samples was 71.25%(95%CI:70.14%-72.36%),and that of premises was 67.39%(95%CI:63.11%-71.67%),antibody level fluctuated with an increasing trend across different years in general;statistical differences(P<0.05)were observed in antibody qualification rates across time,space and populations,and relatively higher in springs and autumns,the immune effect in central and western Hunan was superior to that in northern and southern Hunan,and antibody level on large-scale farms was higher than that in smallholders.In conclusion,the overall immune effect against FMD-O in goats in Hunan Province was satisfactory,in compliance with the requirements for FMD prevention and control proposed by the state;however,antibody level was unevenly distributed across regions,seasons and populations,indicating shortcomings in the disease prevention and control.Intensive monitoring and booster immunization were recommended in winters,or in regions with relatively low antibody level,or in smallholders,to continuously consolidate and improve the immune antibody level across the province,and thereby to reduce potential risk of FMD occurrence and spread.
