Application Progress in Artificial Intelligence for Weather Modification in China
针对人工影响天气业务对智能化技术的需求,系统梳理了人工智能技术在该领域的应用发展现状,综述了云降水预报模式产品订正、人工影响天气作业效果定量评估、云粒子及冰晶图像识别等3个主要应用方向,以及人工智能技术在这3个方面应用的起源、发展和现状,并拓展了三维云降水场智能监测和作业安全智能管理两大场景对人工智能技术的应用,剖析现状、展望前景,以期有效提升人工智能技术在人工影响天气领域应用的深度和广度,为科学作业、精准作业、安全作业提供更加便捷、更加有效的技术范式.
Driven by the urgent need for intelligent technologies in weather modification operations,this paper systematically reviews the current state of AI applications in this field.We first revisit three principal application directions:bias correction of cloud-precipitation forecast products,quantitative evaluation of seeding effectiveness,and automated recognition of cloud-particle and ice-crystal images.The origin,development,and operational status of AI techniques in these three areas are analyzed.Building on this foundation and aligning with emerging operational needs,we extend the discussion to two additional scenarios:intelligent three-dimensional monitoring of cloud-precipitation fields and AI-enabled safety management for weather modification operations.By analyzing current achievements and projecting future directions,this review aims to substantially deepen and broaden the application of AI in weather modification,thereby providing a more efficient and effective technical paradigm to support scientific,precise,and safe operations.
