Since the 21st century,within the macro-context of ecological civilization construction,Chinese ecological literature has shown a vigorous and prosperous developmental trend.The natural aesthetic paradigm of new-century poetry has undergone a profound transformation,in which animal writing has become a crucial pathway for poetry to illuminate ecological issues and reconstruct ecological ethics.Firstly,driven by a strong sense of crisis and a spirit of realism,new-century poetry keenly observes the living conditions of rare and endangered animals,offering sharp reflection and profound critique.Secondly,based on diverse regional experiences,poets write about the obstruction of animal life passages and the compression of their living spaces by human society,using the issue of"cruel killing"to reflect on human culture.Thirdly,in daily life,poets adopt a humble stance of gazing and listening in their contemplation of common animals(especially small and vulnerable ones),reconstructing ecological ethics through deep life communication.New-century poetry has effectively expanded the thematic scope and ideological depth of animal writing.Illuminating its new aesthetic qualities and conceptual issues not only clarifies the theoretical horizon for the development of ecological poetry but also provides poetic wisdom for the construction of ecological civilization.
