东汉末年岭南与南阳地域关系的佛教表达OACHSSCD
The Buddhist Expression of the Regional Relationship between Lingnan and Nanyang in the Late Eastern Han Dynasty
佛教初入中国之际,域外僧人安世高的佛学传承辗转传布于岭南、南阳等地,其注经、译经等佛事活动,成为推动区域互动的宗教先声.《出三藏记集》所载南海子碧和南阳张少安在洛阳同为侍者,共同参与译经、传经事业,他们背后的身份、地域属性,隐然勾勒出岭南和南阳交流的文化线索.南阳张津任职交州刺史期间鼓琴焚香、读邪俗道书等悖于常理的举措,很大程度上源于地域文化和佛、道文化的混合影响,凸显了宗教对个人乃至社会的引导作用.在此基础上,我们以佛教为切口,探讨岭南与南阳区域互动的多样性,深化对宗教因素在跨区域交流中的文化价值的认识.
When Buddhism was first introduced into China,An Shigao(安世高),a foreign monk,had his master-apprentice system spanning Lingnan,Nanyang and other places.His Buddhist activities,such as annotation and translation of Buddhist scriptures,served as a religious harbinger to promote regional interaction.According to Chu Sanzang Jiji(Collection of Records Concerning the Tripitaka 出三藏记集),Zibi(子碧)of Nanhai and Zhang Shaoan(张少安)of Nanyang both served as attendants in Luoyang and jointly participated in the translation and dissemination of Buddhist scriptures.The identities and regional backgrounds behind these figures implicitly outline cultural connections between Lingnan and Nanyang.During his tenure as Inspector of Jiaozhou,Zhang Jin(张津)of Nanyang engaged in unconventional practices such as burning incense while playing the drum and zither,and studying texts addressing corrupt customs—a practice that defied conventional wisdom.To a large extent,these behaviors stemmed from the combined influence of regional culture and the interaction between Buddhist and Daoist traditions,highlighting the guiding role of religion in both individual and social life.Taking Buddhism as an entry point,this study explores the diversity of regional interaction between Lingnan and Nanyang and further deepens understanding of the cultural value of religious factors in cross-regional exchanges.
