中职生羞怯与亲社会行为的关系:热情和能力的中介作用OA

Objective To explore the relationship between shyness and prosocial behavior among vocational high school students,and investigate the mediating roles of warmth and competence in this relationship.Methods A total of 866 vocational high school students were assessed using the Chinese version of Cheek and Buss shyness scale,the Chinese adjective words of basic dimensions of social cognition,and the prosocial behavior scale for adolescents.After data collection,descriptive statistics,correlation analysis,and mediation effect tests were conducted.Results Shyness was significantly negatively correlated with warmth,competence,and prosocial behavior(r=-0.37 to-0.32).Warmth and competence were significantly positively correlated with prosocial behavior(r=0.69 and 0.63,respectively).Shyness exerted a direct negative predictive effect on prosocial behavior(β=-0.37,P<0.001),and this predictive effect remained significant even after adding warmth and competence as parallel mediators(β=-0.14,P<0.001).The mediating effects of warmth and competence between shyness and prosocial behavior were both significant,with effect values of-0.17(95%CI:-0.22 to-0.12)and-0.06(95%CI:-0.11 to-0.03),respectively.Conclusion Shyness can not only directly affect prosocial behavior but also exert indirect influences through warmth and competence among vocational high school students.It is recommended that educational interventions be carried out from the dimensions of warmth and competence to promote prosocial behavior in shy vocational students.
