Verification of historical earthquakes in seismic safety evaluation
按国家标准 GB 17741-2025《工程场地地震安全性评价》6.2.1 条的规定,建立历史地震参数核查技术方法,对可能影响地震安全性评价结果,且参数存在认知分歧的历史地震事件进行核查.这类需核查的地震通常位于对 50 年 10%超越概率地震动参数有贡献的潜在震源区.通过系统收集所有相关地震参数研究成果,重点关注近年来地震区划与活动断层研究中的专题成果,分析其是否合理考虑了历史地震资料的可靠性,是否明确了发震构造和地震参数;对于目前仍存在认知分歧的历史地震参数,需采用历史地震研究方法,全面收集历史地震资料,必要时开展现场考察,重新厘定其地震参数.本文以 1668 年郯城 8½ 级地震和 1624 年镇江地震核查为例,阐明不同场景下的核查方法和工作内容.2 个范例所采用的方法,可为地震安全性评价中的历史地震参数核查提供参考.
In accordance with Clause 6.2.1 of the national standard GB 17741-2025 Evaluation of Seismic Safety for Engineering Sites,a technical method for verifying historical earthquake parameters is established.This method targets historical seismic events that may influence the results of seismic safety evaluation and exhibit cognitive differences in parameters.These events are typically located in potential source zones that contribute to ground-motion parameters with a 10%probability of exceedance in 50 years.By systematically compiling research findings on relevant earthquake parameters,with particular emphasis on thematic outcomes from recent studies on seismic zoning and active faults,the method analyzes whether the reliability of historical seismic data has been properly considered and whether the seismogenic structures and earthquake parameters have been clearly defined.For historical earthquake parameters that remain subject to cognitive divergence,historical earthquake research methods are employed to comprehensively collect historical seismic data,conduct field investigations when necessary,and redetermine the earthquake parameters.Using the 1668 Tancheng M 8½ earthquake and the 1624 Zhenjiang earthquake as examples,this paper illustrates verification methods and tasks under different scenarios.The approaches used in these two cases serve as references for verifying historical earthquake parameters in seismic safety evaluations.
