As a core component of curricula in Western medical colleges and universities,the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)courses serve not only to cultivate integrated Chinese Western medicine thinking but also as a vital platform for promoting excellent traditional Chinese culture and nurturing a sense of patriotism and social responsibility.Guided by the principles of"curriculum-based ideological and political education",this paper explores how to extract ideological and political elements from TCM.Through a systematic analysis of material selection,design strategies,and practical implementation pathways,the study proposes innovative approaches to embedding ideological and political content into TCM instruction.The ultimate goal is to achieve an organic integration of knowledge transmission and value guidance,thereby helping medical students strengthen their cultural confidence,enhance their sense of professional mission,and cultivate a scientific spirit.
