听觉对比度阈值测试临床应用分析OA

Objective To evaluate the time efficiency and result stability of the Audible Contrast Threshold(ACT)test,and its clinical application potentials for its future clinical use.Methods A total of 54 patients who visited the Department of Otolaryngology of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University in November 2024 for auditory or balance disorders were selected(28 males and 26 females,aged between 10 and 68 years).ACT was completed,and its relationship with pure-tone audiometry(PTA),clinical diagnosis,and demographic data was assessed.Results ACT thresholds were successfully measured in 44 subjects(81.5%),unaffected by gender or language.ACT was time-efficient with good reproducibility.Tinnitus,vertigo and sudden severe hearing loss were correlated to ACT results,with age being a significant influencing factor.Conclusions ACT shows strong clinical potentials,especially for assessing auditory function in tinnitus and vertigo patients with normal PTA,and in elderly populations.However,due to the small sample size and diverse clinical presentations in this study,further research is needed to determine its auxiliary diagnostic value in different diseases,as well as its relationship with speech recognition in noisy environments.
