社会资本对农村老年人健康质量的影响OA

Objective To explore the impact of social capital on the health quality of rural elderly and its underlying mecha-nisms,and provide policy recommendations for health promotion among the elderly.Methods Using data from the 2020 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS),5,284 rural elderly participants were selected.Empirical analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression models and mediation effect testing.Results Both individual and collective social capital significantly positively influenced older adults'physical health(β=0.171,P<0.01;β=0.00912,P<0.01)and mental health(β=1.094,P<0.01;β=0.0425,P<0.05),in which subjective well-being partially mediated these effects.Conclusion Ef-forts should focus on building multi-level social capital support networks and increasing subjective well-being to enhance health promotion outcomes.
