两例母牛产后瘫痪的诊断与治疗OA

Postpartum paralysis,also known as milk fever,is most common in multiparous cows.It has a high incidence rate and exerts severe adverse effects on both the survival rate and production performance of affected cows,resulting in significant economic losses for farmers.This study conducted a comparative analysis of two clinical cases of postpartum paralysis in cows,which were induced by two distinct etiologies:nutritional deficiency and lactation disorder.The clinical manifestations observed in both affected cows included inability to stand,locomotor difficulties,and reduced appetite.Laboratory tests consistently revealed decreased levels of three trace elements,namely calcium,magnesium,and phosphorus,in both cases.However,there were notable differences:the cow with lactation disorder presented an additional symptom of mammary swelling,and its condition was more severe than that of the cow with nutritional deficiency.In the treatment process,both cows received supplementary trace elements and glucose.The cow suffering from nutritional deficiency underwent a treatment regimen that integrated traditional Chinese medicine with Western medicine,whereas the cow with a lactation disorder received conventional mammary insufflation.Both treatment approaches resulted in successful recoveries,offering valuable insights for the clinical management of postpartum paralysis in cows.
