Future industries are a strategic force leading profound changes in the economy and society.However,their development is confronted with critical challenges such as uncertain directions,high technological risks,and a lack of market consensus.Special economic function zones,with their combined advantages of pioneering institutional innova-tion and efficient integration of production factors,have become ideal carriers for breaking through these bottlenecks and nurturing future industries.The study elaborates on the mecha-nisms through which special economic function zones facilitate the advancement of future in-dustries.Taking the biomanufacturing industry in Tianjin Binhai New Area as a case study,this paper analyzes the practical pathways to promote the incubation and cultivation of future industries through forward-looking institutional design,systematic resource integration,inno-vative mechanism exploration,and collaborative ecosystem construction.The aim is to pro-vide valuable references and practical inspirations for relying on special economic function zones to cultivate new quality productive forces and build a green,low-carbon modern indus-trial system.
