How Does Artificial Intelligence Empower the Career Development of the Young?The Mediating Role of Intergenerational Occupational Mobility and Psychological Resilience
人工智能发展为青年职业发展提供新动能,对推动高质量就业具有重要意义.基于 2016-2022 年中国家庭追踪调查(CFPS)四期数据,实证检验人工智能对青年职业发展的影响及作用机理.研究表明:人工智能对青年职业发展具有显著促进作用,其赋能效应远大于替代效应,结论经过一系列稳健性检验后仍成立.异质性分析表明,人工智能对从事抽象技能工作、女性和高学历的青年群体职业发展的正向影响更强.机制检验发现,人工智能通过促进代际职业向上流动和增强心理韧性双重路径提升青年职业发展水平.研究结论为构建人工智能时代青年职业发展新体系,促进数字包容性发展与心理韧性深度融合,助力青年实现更高质量就业提供了新的思路.
The development of artificial intelligence provides new impetus for the career development of the young and is of great significance for promoting high-quality employment.Based on the data from the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS)from 2016 to 2022,this paper empirically examines the impact and action mechanism of artificial intelligence on the career development of the young.Research shows that artificial intelligence has a significant promoting effect on the career development of the young,and its enabling effect far exceeds the substitution effect.The conclusion still holds true after a series of robustness tests.Heterogeneity analysis reveals that artificial intelligence has a stronger positive impact on the career development of the young engaging in abstract skill jobs,female,and those with higher educational attainment.Mechanism tests have found that artificial intelligence enhances the career development level of the young through a dual path of promoting intergenerational occupational upward mobility and strengthening psychological resilience.The research conclusion provides new ideas for building a new career development system for the young in the era of artificial intelligence,promoting the deep integration of digital inclusive development and psychological resilience,and helping the young achieve higher-quality employment.
