Organic Chemistry constitutes a foundational course for students majoring in mineral processing engineering,yet current teaching practices exhibit notable deficiencies,notably a lack of integration with the students'professional curriculum,thereby necessitating improvements in teaching efficacy.To address these shortcomings,this study delves into the potential for reforming the teaching of organic chemistry within the context of mineral processing engineering,identifying its feasibility and optimizing its approach.It has been observed through practical application that focusing on key concepts,supplementing the curriculum with closely related material pertinent to the major,emphasizing the unique aspects of mineral processing,incorporating the latest scientific research advancements into the instructional framework,fostering a heuristic learning environment through the use of offline mobile short videos,and establishing an interactive platform between instructors and students can effectively engage students in organic chemistry and enhance the overall quality of instruction.The research results are of significant value to the reform practice of improving the teaching quality and efficiency of organic chemistry courses.
