内蒙古阿拉善地块渣尔泰群的物源分析:区域地层限定和构造意义OA
Provenance analysis of the Zhaertai Group in the Alxa block,Inner Mongolia:Regional stratigraphic constraints and tectonic significance
阿拉善地块渣尔泰群通常被认为是华北板块中元古代裂谷系的组成部分,但对阿拉善地块渣尔泰群的形成时代、物源分析等研究薄弱,阻碍了对阿拉善地块的归属性的认识.本文通过对阿拉善地块渣尔泰群进行重矿物和碎屑锆石 U-Pb测年分析,限定阿拉善地块渣尔泰群物源特征,探讨其形成时代,确定阿拉善地块归属性.重矿物分析结果表明,渣尔泰群书记沟组、增隆昌组和阿古鲁沟组的重矿物组合分别为锆石+金红石+钛铁矿、电气石+锆石和磁铁矿+锆石,表明母岩类型均为岩浆岩.碎屑锆石 U-Pb测年得到书记沟组沉积时间<1820 Ma,增隆昌组<951 Ma,阿古鲁沟组<1080 Ma,确定阿拉善地区的渣尔泰群沉积时代为新元古代,渣尔泰群~2.5 Ga、~1.95 Ga和~1.8 Ga的物源来自阿拉善地块及区域上的岩浆岩,而~1.0 Ga锆石指示其物源可能来自劳伦大陆的岩浆岩,反映新元古代构造活动引发的远源物质输入.区域碎屑锆石年龄谱图和岩石组合表明,阿拉善渣尔泰群、狼山群形成于新元古代,华北板块的渣尔泰群、化德群形成于中元古代,白云鄂博群沉积时代为中—新元古代,区域上同时代地层之间可以进行对比.阿拉善地块渣尔泰群物源及邻区岩石的特征等表明,阿拉善地块为华北板块的西延部分.
The Zhaertai Group of the Alxa block is usually considered part of the Mesoproterozoic rift system of the North China block.However,the depositional age and provenance analysis of the Zhaertai Group have remained poorly constrained,hindering a definitive understanding of the affinity of the Alxa block's tectonic affinity.This study employs heavy mineral analysis and detrital zircon U-Pb dating to characterize the provenance of the Zhaertai Group,constrain its depositional age,and clarify the Alxa block's affiliation.The Shujigou,Zenglongchang,and Agulugou formations are characterized by distinct heavy mineral assemblages of zircon-rutile-ilmenite,tourmaline-zircon,and magnetite-zircon,respectively,suggesting derivation primarily from crystalline magmatic source rocks.Detrital zircon U-Pb dating yields maximum depositional ages of<1820 Ma for the Shujigou Formation,<951 Ma for the Zenglongchang Formation,and<1080 Ma for the Agulugou Formation.These chronological results indicate that the Zhaertai Group was deposited during the Neoproterozoic,not the Mesoproterozoic as previously assumed.The detrital zircon age spectra reveal that the~2.5 Ga,~1.95 Ga,and~1.8 Ga grains were sourced from the underlying Archean and Paleoproterozoic basement of the Alxa block.In contrast,the abundant~1.0 Ga zircons are interpreted as being derived from a distal source,potentially the Laurentian continent,reflecting inputs driven by Neoproterozoic tectonic activity.A comparison of regional detrital zircon age spectra and rock assemblages reveals distinct formation ages.Although the Zhaertai and Langshan groups in the Alxa block are Neoproterozoic,the correlative Zhaertai and Huade groups in the North China block are Mesoproterozoic.The Bayan Obo Group exhibits an intermediate Meso-to Neoproterozoic depositional age,allowing for correlation with other strata of similar age.A comprehensive analysis of the provenance of the Zhaertai Group in the Alxa block and comparative rocks in the North China block demonstrates that the Alxa block was the western extension of the North China block during the Neoproterozoic.
