Experimental Study on Comparative Performance of Natural Pad Materials for Evaporative Cooling

为对比天然填料蒸发冷却性能,实验测试桉树纤维、羊毛、椰壳纤维、木丝及剑麻纤维在1~5m/s风速下的温降、蒸发效率、冷却能力及性能系数.结果表明:桉树纤维性能最优,最高温降8.1 ℃,冷却能力2.19 kW,(性能系数COP=39);剑麻与椰壳纤维次之,冷却能力分别为0.22~1.13 kW(性能系数23)和0.038~0.79kW(性能系数16);木丝冷却能力0.11~0.66kW;羊毛性能最弱.本研究证实了桉树纤维等天然材料在炎热气候区建筑中提供被动节能冷却的可行性.

To compare the evaporative cooling performance of natural pad materials,experiments tested eucalyptus fiber,wool,coir fiber,wood shavings,and sisal fiber under air velocities of 1~5 m/s.Parameters evaluated included temperature drop,evaporation efficiency,cooling capacity,and coefficient of performance(COP).Results showed that eucalyptus fiber exhibited optimal performance,achieving a maximum temperature drop of 8.1 ℃,a cooling capacity of 2.19 kW,and a COP of 39.Sisal and coir fibers followed,with cooling capacities ranging from 0.22 to 1.13 kW(COP=23)and 0.038 to 0.79 kW(COP=16),respectively.Wood shavings provided a cooling capacity of 0.11~0.66 kW,while wool demonstrated the weakest performance.This study confirms the feasibility of natural materials,particularly eucalyptus fiber,for passive energy-saving cooling in hot-climate buildings.
