鄂尔多斯盆地白土井地区环河组灰绿色砂岩成因分析OA
Genetic Analysis of Gray-green Sandstone from Huanhe Formation of Baitujing Area,Ordos Basin
鄂尔多斯盆地白土井地区下白垩统环河组发育厚层灰绿色砂岩,其成因研究对于识别氧化-还原分带、明确砂岩型铀矿找矿方向具有重要意义.文章通过岩心宏观观察与扫描电镜微观分析,对研究区灰绿色砂岩的颜色成因进行判别.结果表明:砂岩呈现灰绿色的主要致色矿物为绿泥石,其次为绿/蒙混层;绿泥石以颗粒包膜、孔隙衬里及孔隙充填3种产状存在,其形成具有阶段性,先后依次为颗粒包膜、孔隙衬里、孔隙充填.砂岩中绿色分布均匀连续,未见"红心绿边"等后期蚀变特征,紫红色泥砾边缘亦无绿色蚀变现象;3种产状绿泥石紧密包裹碎屑颗粒表面及围绕颗粒间孔隙发育,未见交代铁氧化物现象.结合沉积环境分析,认为该套灰绿色砂岩形成于三角洲前缘弱还原水下环境,属原生沉积成因.因此,研究区灰绿色砂岩整体代表原生还原带,其西侧与红色或黄色砂岩接触界线可作为氧化前锋线,对指导该区铀矿勘查部署具有实际意义.
Huanhe Formation of Lower Cretaceous contains thick gray-green sandstones in Baitujing area of Ordos Basin.Studying their genesis is significant for identifying redox zoning and clarifying exploration directions for sandstone-type uranium deposits.This study used macroscopic core observations and scanning electron microscopy analyses to determine the causes of the gray-green coloration in the sandstones of the study area.The results show that the primary chromogenic mineral giving the sandstone its gray-green color is the chlorite,followed by chlorite-smectite mixed layers.Chlorite occurs in three forms:grain coatings,pore linings,and pore fillings,representing different formation stages in the sequence of grain coatings → pore linings → pore fillings.The green color in the sandstone is uniformly and continuously distributed without features of later alteration such as"red core with green edges,"and the edges of purplish-red mud clasts also show no signs of green alteration.The three forms of chlorite closely envelop detrital grains and develop around intergranular pores,with no evidence of iron oxide replacement.Based on sedimentary environment analysis,it was believed that this set of gray-green sandstones was formed in a weakly reducing underwater environment at the delta front,representing a primary sedimentary origin.Therefore,the gray-green sandstones in the study area collectively represent a original reducing zone,and the contact boundary on their western side with red or yellow sandstones can serve as the oxidation front.This recognition has practical significance for guiding uranium exploration in the region.
