Parameter Estimation in Integrated Sensing and Communication:Methods,Applications and Challenges
通信感知一体化(Integrated Sensing and Communication,ISAC)通过共享频谱、软硬件等资源,实现了通信和感知功能的整合,为目标定位、环境感知的集成应用带来了新的技术手段.聚焦于 ISAC 中参数估计理论的研究进展,介绍了 ISAC 参数估计的相关概念,将参数类型划分为通信信道参数和感知目标参数,给出了具体的性能评估指标,从模型驱动和数据驱动 2 个方面归纳了参数估计方法,探讨了模型驱动与数据驱动融合的混合驱动新范式.从感知辅助通信、通信辅助感知、通信感知联合优化三方面重点分析了参数估计在通感融合中的应用,并对融合策略进行了比较.深入剖析了 ISAC 参数估计技术在实际应用中面临的关键挑战,并重点聚焦于目标定位和环境感知等典型感知应用场景进行了展望.通过深入分析 ISAC 参数估计理论的研究成果,为进一步推动 ISAC 技术的实用化进程提供参考.
Integrated Sensing and Communication(ISAC)realizes the integration of communication and sensing functions by sharing spectrum,software and hardware resources,and brings new technical means for the integrated application of target positioning and environmental sensing.This paper focuses on the research progress of parameter estimation theory in ISAC.Firstly,the related concepts of ISAC parameter estimation are introduced.The parameter types are divided into communication channel parameters and perceptual target parameters,and the specific performance evaluation indexes are given.Then,the parameter estimation methods are summarized from two aspects of model-driven and data-driven,and the new hybrid driven paradigm of model-driven and data-driven integration is discussed.The applications of parameter estimation in ISAC are analyzed from three aspects:sensing-assisted communication,communication-assisted sensing,and joint optimization of communication and sensing,and the fusion strategies are compared.Finally,the paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the key challenges faced by ISAC parameter estimation techniques in practical applications,highlighting prospects for typical sensing scenarios such as target localization and environmental sensing.By thoroughly examining research findings in ISAC parameter estimation theory,this study provides valuable insights for advancing the practical implementation of ISAC technology.
