Ulcerative colitis is a common and easy to recurrent digestive system difficult disease,Chinese medicine treatment of this disease has its unique advantages.This paper discusses Professor Li Xian's treatment of ulcerative colitis syndrome from the viewpoint of"fiery theory".Professor Li Xian believed that the main pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis was the burning of the gut organs,and the key to the burning was the Yang qi depression.Therefore,the treatment of ulcerative colitis should follow the principle of"fire stagnation",focusing on regulating qi and relieving depression and heat.According to the degree of heat and different forms of expression,Professor Li Xian often starts from five aspects of clearing heat,dispelling dampness,soothing liver,nourishing Yin and strengthening spleen,and the effect is outstanding.It provides a new idea for the clinical application of fiery theory and the diagnosis and treatment of ulcerative colitis.
