基于文献计量学的针灸神经调控机制研究文献可视化分析OA

Objective:To analyze the current status of domestic and international publications,research hotspots and trends in studies on acupuncture neuromodulation mechanisms using bibliometric visualization methods.Methods:Litera-ture related to acupuncture neuromodulation mechanisms published between January 1,2005,and December 31,2024,was retrieved from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and Web of Science(WOS)databases.Relevant information from the included literature was extracted to establish a database.Origin 2024,CiteSpace 6.3.R1 and VOS-viewer 1.6.20 were used to generate visual maps of publication volume,authors,institutions,countries,keyword co-occurrence,keyword clustering and keyword bursts.A descriptive analysis was conducted on the journals publishing the in-cluded literature.Results:A total of 393 articles were included,comprising 230 English and 163 Chinese publications.Over the past three years,the number of publications in both Chinese and English increased significantly,though the growth rate of Chinese publications was lower than that of English publications.The most prolific authors in Chinese and English literature were Xu Bin(8 articles)and Longhurst,John C(17 articles),respectively.The China Academy of Chi-nese Medical Sciences,Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine were the most influential institutions in this field.China led in publication volume,while the United States occupied a central posi-tion in the collaboration network.The included literature was published in 173 journals,of which only 6 were high-impact journals(IF>10),indicating an overall low impact factor.Co-occurrence analysis of authors,institutions and countries re-vealed that domestic and international communication and collaboration needed strengthening.Descriptive analysis of the publishing journals suggested that research quality also required improvement.Keyword analysis showed that the disease categories studied expanded from gastrointestinal dysfunction and pain-related conditions to endocrine/metabolic diseases and psychological/psychiatric disorders.Mechanism research gradually evolved toward holistic and precise approaches,with emerging trends focusing on neuromodulation mechanisms related to anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects,prevention and treatment of psychological/psychiatric disorders and cognitive impairment,functional magnetic resonance imaging stud-ies on brain functional mechanisms of acupuncture effects,and exploration of auricular stimulation and neural regulation.Conclusion:The field of acupuncture neuromodulation mechanism research is developing rapidly,but high-quality achievements remain limited.Future efforts should focus on enhancing communication,collaboration and interdisciplinary integration,delving into the neuromodulation mechanisms of hot disease categories,and addressing more fundamental sci-entific questions in acupuncture.
