人生回顾对老年晚期食管癌放疗患者生命意义感的影响OA

Objective To explore the effects of life review therapy on the sense of meaning in life,dignity level,death anxiety and anxiety&depression in elderly patients with advanced esophageal cancer undergoing radio-therapy.Methods By convenience sampling,the study selected 77 advanced esophageal cancer patients who were hospitalized in the Radiation Oncology Department at a Grade Ⅲ-A hospital in Tianjin to undergo ra-diotherapy from January 2023 to December 2024.They were randomly assigned to either the intervention group(n=38)or the control group(n=39).The control group received routine supportive care,while the inter-vention group additionally received an 8-week life review therapy.The therapy comprised three stages:prepa-ration,structured intervention(covering themes such as childhood memories,occupational attainments,and family roles),and consolidation(involving family participation and creation of a"life story"memory book).Pa-tients were assessed using the Meaning in Life Questionnaire,Patient Dignity Inventory,Templer's Death Anxi-ety Scale and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale before the first radiotherapy session and after the final ra-diotherapy session,respectively.Results After the intervention,the intervention group showed significantly higher scores for meaning in life(P<0.05),signifi-cantly improved dignity levels(P<0.05)and signifi-cantly lower scores for death anxiety and anxiety&depression(P<0.05),compared to the control group.Conclusion Life review therapy is an effective psy-chological care to improve patients'mood in clinical practice,as it effectively enhances the sense of meaning in life and dignity levels and alleviates death anxiety and anxiety&depression in elderly patients with ad-vanced esophageal cancer undergoing radiotherapy.
