Effects of Different Defoliant Types on Defoliation,Yield and Quality of Sea Island Cotton

喷施脱叶剂是长绒棉机采提质增效的关键环节.本试验以清水为空白对照(CK)、50%噻苯隆为药剂对照(T1),设54%噻苯·敌草隆(T2)、81%噻苯·敌草隆(T3)、65%敌·苯·乙烯利(T4)、50%噻苯隆+2%吡草醚(T5)、54%噻苯·敌草隆+2%吡草醚(T6)5个不同类型脱叶剂处理,于2023年和2024年在阿克苏地区沙雅县开展试验,分析不同类型脱叶剂对长绒棉脱叶率、脱叶速率、枯叶率、吐絮率、产量和品质的影响.结果表明,两年度试验中,喷施脱叶剂均能显著提高长绒棉的脱叶催熟效果,整体以T5、T6处理的脱叶效果较优,喷施后25 d的脱叶率均达99%以上;T1处理脱叶效果较差,喷施后25 d的脱叶率在93.20%~97.41%之间.2023年度,施药前期遭遇低温天气,施药后5~10 d,T5、T6处理的脱叶速率显著高于其他处理,分别为9.40%/d、9.42%/d;2024年度,气温适宜,喷施后前期(5~15 d),T5、T6处理的脱叶速率与其他脱叶剂处理差异不显著.T5、T6处理长绒棉的枯叶率较低,年度平均分别为3.94%、4.40%;T1、T3处理的较高,年度平均分别为7.15%、9.63%.各脱叶剂处理对长绒棉的催熟效果无显著差异,喷施后25 d时的吐絮率均高于94%,显著高于CK;各脱叶剂处理长绒棉的籽棉和皮棉产量与CK相比均无显著差异,表明未对长绒棉产量造成显著影响;各脱叶剂处理长绒棉纤维品质与CK相比均无显著差异,且整体优于CK.综上可知,本试验条件下,以喷施50%噻苯隆+2%吡草醚、54%噻苯·敌草隆+2%吡草醚处理对长绒棉的脱叶催熟效果较好,对长绒棉产量未产生显著不利影响,并可在一定程度上提升长绒棉的纤维品质,适宜在长绒棉机械化采收前期对其进行脱叶催熟.

Spraying defoliant is the key link of long-staple cotton machine picking to improve quality and efficiency.The experiment was carried out in Shaya County,Aksu Prefecture in 2023 and 2024 to study the effects of different defoliant types on defoliation rate,defoliation speed,wilt leaf rate,boll opening rate,yield and quality of long-staple cotton.With clear water as blank control(CK)and 50%thidiazuron as control drug(T1),5 types of defoliant were used for treatments including 54%thiobenzene-dioxalon(T2),81%thio-benzene-dioxalon(T3),65%diuron-thidiazuron-ethephon(T4),50%thidiazuron+2%pyraflufen-ethyl(T5),and 54%thiobenzene-dioxalon+2%pyraflufen-ethyl(T6).The results showed that spraying defoliant could significantly improve the defoliation and ripening effects in both years,among which,T5 and T6 had the best defoliation effect with the defoliation rate more than 99%,while T1 had a poorer defoliation effect with the defoliation rate ranging from 93.20%to 97.41%.In 2023,when cold weather was encountered during the pre-application period,the defoliation speed of T5 and T6 was significantly higher than that of the other treatments 5 to 10 days after application,which were 9.40%/d and 9.42%/d,respectively.In 2024,when the meteoro-logical temperature was favorable,the defoliation speed of T5 and T6 was not significantly different from the other defoliant treatments in the former period after application(at 5 to 15 days).After T5 and T6 treatments,the rate of wilt leaves was lower,averaging 3.94%and 4.40%over the two years,respectively,while that was higher after T1 and T3 treatments,averaging 7.15%and 9.63%over the two years.There was no significant difference in ripening effect of the defoliant treatments,and the boll opening rate was higher than 94%,which was significantly higher compared to CK.The defoliant treatments had no significant effects on the yield of seed cotton and lint cotton compared to CK,indicating they did not cause yield reduction in long-staple cotton yield.The defoliant treatments also had no significant effects on cotton fiber quality,and the quality was overall bet-ter than that of CK.In summary,in the experiment conditions,50%thidiazuron+2%pyraflufen-ethyl and 54%thiobenzene-dioxalon+2%pyraflufen-ethyl had better effects on defoliation and ripening of long-staple cotton,had no negative effect on yield,and improved fiber quality to a certain extent,so they were suitable for defoliation and ripening of long-staple cotton during pre-mechanical harvesting period.
