This paper introduces the flexible hose liner method for trenchless rehabilitation of urban gas pipe-lines,elaborates on its materials and construction pro-cess,and compares it with the folded-liner method and the cured-in-place pipe(CIPP)method.The advan-tages of the flexible hose liner method in terms of work-ing environment and construction speed are summa-rized,and the pressure-bearing capacity and tightness of the rehabilitated pipelines are verified.Flexible hose liners typically consist of three layers:an inner layer made of high-air-tightness thermoplastic polyure-thane(TPU);a middle layer composed of polyester or aramid fiber;and an outer layer of wear-resistant modi-fied polyethylene.Pipelines rehabilitated using the flexible hose liner method satisfy the strength and tight-ness requirements for medium-and low-pressure gas pipelines.This method can effectively improve the effi-ciency of renewal and reconstruction of aging pipe net-works.
