分布式数字身份(decentralized digital identity)是一种新兴的身份管理方式,允许用户自行创建可信分布式标识(decentralized identifier,DID)作为身份.通过控制与 DID 相关的私钥,用户可以管理与流转和自身属性相关的可验证凭证(verifiable credential,VC)并根据需要向第三方披露全部或部分凭证,证明其确实持有某种属性(如年龄、权限等).为了确保分布式标识和可验证凭证等关键数据在用户之间安全流转,分布式数字身份采纳了超级账本基金会旗下 Aries 项目所提出的 DIDComm 协议,这是一种安全消息通信协议.DIDComm 协议通过为用户提供多种通信密钥建立方法,从而实现不同的安全消息通信模式,如发送者匿名或认证的安全消息通信.本文从系统模型、报文格式及安全性等多个维度,对DIDComm 协议进行了全面的介绍,并将其与现有的多种安全消息通信协议进行了详尽的比较和分析.此外,本文首次对 DIDComm 协议中的涉及通信密钥建立的密码学核心部分进行了形式化安全建模,提出了一个捕获 DIDComm 协议通信密钥不可区分安全性的安全模型.同时,本文对 DIDComm 协议的应用现状进行综述.最后,给出全文总结,并对 DIDComm 协议未来的研究与应用前景进行展望.

Decentralized digital identity is an emerging identity management technique that allows users to create their own decentralized identifier(DID).By controlling the private key associated with the DID,users can manage verifiable credentials(VC)related to their attributes(e.g.,age,permis-sions).They can also disclose all or part of these credentials to third parties as needed to prove possession of certain attributes.To ensure the secure transfer of critical data,such as decentralized identifiers and verifiable credentials among users,decentralized digital identity adopts the DIDComm protocol proposed by the Hyperledger Foundation's Aries project.DIDComm is a secure messaging protocol that provides users with multiple methods for establishing communication keys,thereby en-abling various secure messaging modes,such as sender-anonymous or authenticated communication.This study provides a comprehensive introduction to the DIDComm protocol from multiple dimen-sions,including system model,message formats,and security.It also offers a detailed comparison and analysis of DIDComm with several existing secure messaging protocols.Moreover,this study is the first to formally model the security of communication key establishment within the DIDComm protocol,presenting a security model that captures the indistinguishability security of DIDComm's communication keys.Additionally,the study reviews the current applications of the DIDComm proto-col.Finally,it concludes with a summary and discusses the future research and application prospects of the DIDComm protocol.
