The relationship between investing in people and vocational education is characterized by an intrinsic unity that extends from value orientation to practical implementation:the former provides purposeful guidance for the latter,while the latter offers a systematic pathway for the former.At present,no clear consensus has been reached on precisely how vocational education can genuinely implement investing in people.As a purposeful practical activity,vocational education comprises at least three fundamental dimensions:purpose,process,and method.From the purposive perspective,the realization of investing in people within vocational education is a process of practical cultivation aimed at fostering the whole-person professional.This process emphasizes the individual's bodily presence,attends to the synchronization of thought and action,and focuses on the individual's spiritual resonance.From the procedural perspective,the realization of investing in people within vocational education is a practical cultivation process grounded in life presence.It requires actively guiding individuals through a transformation from the disciplined body to the embodied experience,from external indoctrination to endogenous construction,and from being a vocational instrument to achieving life consciousness.This process ultimately facilitates the synergistic development of the brain-hand-heart nexus.From the methodological perspective,the realization of investing in people within vocational education is a practical cultivation process that promotes competence generation.It emphasizes adopting embodied practice to support the integration of competencies,thereby triggering intuitive emergence;leveraging cognitive elevation to drive knowledge restructuring,thereby achieving logical reconstruction;and anchoring professional dignity through value identification,thereby awakening intrinsic generative motivation.These approaches enable students to acquire the whole capacity to adapt to an uncertain future.
