Optimized Design of Electromagnetic Ultrasonic SH Guided Wave Transducer for Grounded Flat Steel Inspection

针对传统 PPM 阵列永磁体结构电磁超声 SH 导波换能器换能效率低的问题,提出了一种基于 Halbach 阵列永磁体的新型换能器,以增强对接地扁钢缺陷的检测能力.首先,利用有限元软件 COMSOL 建立了 PPM 和 Halbach 阵列永磁体结构三维模型,并通过正交试验对换能器的关键参数进行了优化设计,研究结果表明:Halbach 阵列永磁体的最大垂直磁通密度较PPM 阵列永磁体提高了 51.6%,且 Halbach 阵列永磁体表现出良好的单边效应,显著提升了垂直偏置磁场的利用效率.在选定参数范围内,增加永磁体的长度、数量以及线圈的匝数均可提高电磁超声信号的幅值,优化后的信号幅值较优化前提高了45.9%.最后,通过实验验证了该换能器在实际应用中的检测性能,实验结果与仿真结果高度一致,充分证明所提出的优化设计方案具有可行性.

Targeting at the problem of low transducer efficiency of electromagnetic ultrasonic SH guided wave transducer with traditional PPM array permanent magnet structure,a new type of transducer based on Halbach array permanent magnet is proposed to enhance the de-tection capability of defects on grounded flat steel.Firstly,a three-dimensional model of the structure of PPM and Halbach array perma-nent magnet is established by using the finite element software of COMSOL,and the key parameters of the transducer are optimized and designed through orthogonal test.The results of the study show that the maximum perpendicular magnetic flux density of Halbach array permanent magnet is increased by 51.6%compared with that of the PPM array permanent magnet,and the Halbach array permanent mag-net exhibits a good unilateral effect,which significantly improves the utilization efficiency of the vertically biased magnetic field.Within the selected parameters,increasing the length and number of permanent magnets and the number of turns of the coil can improve the am-plitude of the electromagnetic ultrasound signals,and the amplitude of the optimized signals is improved by 45.9%compared with that be-fore optimization.Finally,the detection performance of the transducer in practical applications is verified by experiments,and the experi-mental results are high consistent with the simulation results,which fully proves the feasibility of the proposed optimized design scheme.
