云冈石窟传说的类型、内涵及其文化遗产思考OA

There are barely any research on the legends surrounding the Yungang Grottoes.These legends,including the origin legends of the Yungang Grottoes,statue creation legends,belief and miracle legends,and indirect legends related to the Yungang Grottoes,are characterized by folkloric dramatization and mythologized narratives.Collectively,they carry the historical memory of the Northern Wei Dynasty,reflect people's lives,values and emotions as well as their worship of craftsmanship,and also embody the multicultural features of frontier military culture,ethnic integration and Buddhist belief nurtured by Yungang Valley as a transportation artery and cultural corridor.From the perspective of cultural heritage,we find that:the surviving legends of the Yungang Grottoes is dependant on the"materiality"of the Yungang Grottoes,and in turn endow the grottoes with vital soul and human vitality;the legends may provide clues for relevant archaeological excavations,and archaeology also reveals part of the historicity and value of the legends;the legends of the Yungang Grottoes serve as a vivid annotation to the selection criteria of UNESCO World Heritage and the reasons for the Yungang Grottoes being inscribed on the World Heritage List.In contemporary times,the legends of the Yungang Grottoes have contributed towards heritage revitalization by integrating elements of intangible cultural heritage,enriching communication means and injecting modern spirit,introducing new impetus into the cultural tourism development of Datong Yungang.Accordingly,the conservation of the Yungang Grottoes should take into account both the tangible heritage of cave statues and the intangible heritage factors such as folk legends,embody the holistic concept of cultural heritage conservation,and make"cultural heritage come alive".
