蓝色碳汇关注度对绿色发展的驱动机制与异质性分析OA
Driving mechanism and heterogeneity analysis of blue carbon sink attention on green development:a case study of China's coastal cities
关注蓝色碳汇,保护海洋生物多样性,有助于筑牢沿海城市绿色发展的生态屏障.本文以2011-2022年53个地级及以上沿海城市为样本,采用文本分析法和熵值法,系统分析了蓝色碳汇关注度对我国沿海城市绿色发展的影响、作用渠道以及异质性效应.研究发现:(1)提高蓝色碳汇关注度能够促进沿海城市绿色发展.(2)机制检验表明,提高蓝色碳汇关注度,有助于动员政府及社会各方力量保护海洋生物多样性,夯实生态系统健康的社会基础,从而推动沿海城市绿色发展;有助于形成可持续发展的科技导向,激发绿色科技创新活力,促进沿海城市绿色发展;以及有助于强化政府管理,加大海洋生态保护政策扶持,为沿海城市的绿色发展提供有力的制度保障.(3)基于中国沿海城市在政策支持与执行力度以及经济结构等方面存在显著差异,本文通过异质性分析进一步探讨了蓝色碳汇关注度对不同类型沿海城市绿色发展的影响.结果表明,在2011-2022年53个沿海城市样本中,行政级别为地级、常住人口超百万的沿海城市蓝色碳汇关注度对其绿色发展具有显著的促进作用,南方沿海城市相较于北方沿海城市的蓝色碳汇关注度对绿色发展水平的促进作用更为显著.
Focusing on blue carbon sinks and protecting marine biodiversity contribute to strengthening the ecological barrier for the green development of coastal cities.This study uses a sample of 53 prefecture level and above coastal cities in China from 2011 to 2022,employing text analysis and the entropy method to systematically analyze the impact,mechanisms,and heterogeneity effects of attention to blue carbon sinks on the green development of coastal cities.The findings are as follows.(1)Increasing attention to blue carbon sinks promotes the green development of coastal cities.(2)Mechanism tests show that increasing attention to blue carbon sinks helps mobilize government and societal efforts to protect marine biodiversity,solidifying the social foundation for ecosystem health,thereby promoting green development in coastal cities.It also helps establish a technology-driven approach for sustainable development,stimulates green technological innovation,and strengthens government management by enhancing policy support for marine ecological protection,thus providing strong institutional support for the green development of coastal cities.(3)Given the significant differences in policy support,implementation strength,and economic structure among coastal cities of China,this study further explores the heterogeneous effects of attention to blue carbon sinks on the green development of different types of coastal cities.The results indicate that,within the 53 coastal cities sampled from 2011 to 2022,attention to blue carbon sinks has a significant positive effect on the green development of prefecture level coastal cities with a permanent population exceeding one million.Moreover,the positive impact is more significant in southern coastal cities compared to northern ones.
