海洋产业结构升级对我国沿海省域经济高质量发展影响研究OA

Based on panel data from 2001 to 2022 of 11 coastal provinces(including autonomous regions and municipalities)in China(excluding Hong Kong,Macao,and Taiwan),this study constructs an index for the high-quality development of the provincial economy and further employs the fixed-effect model and mediation effect model to investigate the impact and mechanism of marine industrial structure upgradation on the high-quality development of the provincial economy.The baseline regression results indicate that marine industrial structure upgradation has a significant driving effect on the high-quality development of the provincial economy.Mediation analysis indicates that marine industrial structure upgradation can effectively empower the high-quality development of the provincial economy by improving transportation accessibility and promoting industrial agglomeration.Heterogeneity analysis shows that marine industrial structure upgradation has a positive effect on the high-quality development of the provincial economy in the coastal provinces with a large number of marine scientific research employees and the coastal areas south of the Yangtze River.To further promote high-quality provincial economic development,it is necessary to continue supporting the cultivation and growth of emerging industries,increase strategic investment in transportation infrastructure,and use this as a support to build industrial clusters and promote regional collaborative cooperation.
