The Art of Silence:Triple Blanks and Aesthetic Effects in The Song of the Pipa
"空白"是中西方艺术的共同审美趣味.接受美学的代表人物伊瑟尔明确提出一种"空白"理论,强调接受者与文本通过"空白"互动交流的过程."空白"作为一种"无言"的审美意识,在中国古典诗歌中也被广泛运用.白居易的《琵琶行》中就充分运用了"空白"这一艺术手段,给读者带来广阔的想象和再创造空间.文章以白居易《琵琶行》为分析对象,运用接受美学中"空白"这一艺术概念,分别从环境的"飞白"、音乐的"虚白"、人物的"留白"三个方面解读这首诗歌文本,以彰显《琵琶行》中"空白之美"的三重境界与艺术价值.
"Blank"is a shared aesthetic pursuit in both Eastern and Western art.Wolfgang Iser,a representative figure of reception aesthetics,explicitly proposed a"blank"theory,emphasizing the interactive process between the recipient and the text through"blanks".As a form of"silent"aesthetic consciousness,"blanks"are widely employed in classical Chinese poetry.Bai Juyi's The Song of the Pipa fully utilizes this artistic technique,providing readers with ample space for imagination and re-creation.This paper takes The Song of the Pipa as the object of analysis,employing the artistic concept of"blanks"from reception aesthetics to interpret the poem text from three aspects:the"flying white"of the environment,the"void white"of the music,and the"reserved white"of the characters,thereby highlighting the triple realms and artistic value of the"beauty of blank"in The Song of the Pipa.
