Advances in molecular mechanisms of plant receptor-like cytoplasmic kinases in response to cold stress

随着全球气候变暖,极端低温等天气对农业生产的威胁日益严重.近年来,植物低温信号转导下游事件逐渐被解析,但到目前为止,对植物如何感知低温信号的上游事件并不清楚.胞质类受体激酶(RLCKs)是一类只含有胞内激酶域、缺少胞外受体域和跨膜结构域的类受体蛋白激酶,广泛参与了植物生长发育、生物及非生物胁迫.本文综述了目前 RLCKs在植物低温信号转导方面的研究进展,阐述了近年来 RLCKs的分类,以及其参与低温信号感知和偶联其他途径响应低温胁迫的发现,并对RLCKs参与的低温应答提出了一些开放性问题,为该领域的研究提供线索,并为通过分子模块化培养耐寒新种质资源提供理论依据.

As global warming progresses,extreme low-temperature events are increasingly threatening agricultural production.Although considerable advances have been made in elucidating the downstream components of low-temperature signal transduction in plants,the upstream mechanisms underlying cold perception remain poorly defined.Receptor-like cytoplasmic kinases(RLCKs),which possess an intracellular kinase domain but lack extracellular and transmembrane domains,are widely involved in plant growth,development,and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses.This review outlines recent progress in understanding plant low-temperature signaling,with an emphasis on emerging evidence that implicates RLCKs in cold signal perception and their integration with other signaling pathways to coordinate cold stress responses.We also propose several open questions concerning RLCK-mediated cold acclimation,which may guide future research and inform the molecular design of cold-tolerant germplasm through modular breeding strategies.
