四川省宜宾市大熊猫食用竹国家林木种质资源库建设现状与发展建议OA

Bamboo germplasm resources are crucial national strategic resources with economic,ecological,and ornamental value.The National Forest Germplasm Resource Bank of Edible Bamboo for Giant Pandas in Yibin city,Sichuan province,which was approved in 2025,is the first national-level forest germplasm repository in Sichuan province and a vital platform for conservation and preservation of bamboo germplasm resources in southwestern China.Currently,the resource bank houses a collection of 621 bamboo accessions including 100 bamboo species as staple food for giant pandas and 521 edible bamboo species,which cover 36 genera and 511 species along with infraspecific taxa.This paper reviews the current status of the bank development and its germplasm conservation,and analyzes existing challenges in infrastructure construction,innovative germplasm utilization,standardized management,and digitalized preservation.It proposes development recommendations from three aspects,including infrastructure upgrades,more in-depth germplasm research,and management system optimization,with the aim of enhancing the bank upgrading and providing a reference for the development of other forest germplasm resource banks.
