The academic community generally holds that the literary history of the Ming and Qing dynasties is a history of literati associations.The regional characteristics of literary schools and their widespread influence during these periods are closely tied to the literary landscape of"no re-gion without a literary society"in the Ming and Qing eras.However,a literary society does not inherently constitute a literary school;the establish-ment of a school based on a society requires specific conditions and catalysts.Among these,"lineage selection"and"stylistic commonality"are two pivotal criteria for determining whether a literary community evolves into a distinct school.The Bingtian Poetry Society,the first literary association in Northeast China during the Qing dynasty,has exerted a profound influence on subsequent generations and remains a topic of sustained academic inter-est.Marked by its inaugural gathering on the 27th day of the 11th lunar month in the 7th year of the Shunzhi reign(1650),the Bingtian Poetry Soci-ety emerged as an independent school—the Bingtian Poetry Society School.The literati of this school further clarified the literary lineage of the society and shared commonalities in their poetic techniques(e.g.,integrating emotions into landscapes)and secularized linguistic style.The formation of this consistent artistic style is largely intertwined with the historical context and ideological propositions underlying the establishment of the"society-school"entity.
