[Research purpose]As the global knowledge production landscape is shifting from a"center—periphery"system to a polycentric network,Chinese museology faces a striking paradox:practical prosperity versus theoretical dependency—a predicament reflected in the construction of indigenous knowledge subjectivity.[Research method]Adopting the perspective of the theory ofmutual constitution,this study develops a four-dimensional analytical framework—structural empowerment,behavioral feedback,interactive tension,and collaborative pathways—and employs qualitative methods to systematically examine the mutual shaping mechanisms between the global knowledge production landscape and Chinese museological practices,analyzes the formation mechanism of the autonomy predicament,and seeks the core pathways to construct an autonomous knowledge system for Chinese museology.[Research conclusion]The global knowledge production landscape,through its normative order,both provides resources and opportunities for indigenous research and imposes structural constraints.Indigenous practices,in turn,reshape the global knowledge landscape through case provision,conceptual output,and international participation.The interaction generates three key tensions—failure of normative integration,the inhibition of conceptualization capacity,and asymmetry translation mechanism—which lead China's museology into multiple autonomy predicaments in disciplinary positioning,theoretical originality,and discursive communication.The fundamental solution lies in shifting from passive endurance to active mastery of the mutually constitutive dynamics.Through systematic construction across disciplinary,academic,and discursive dimensions,Chinese museology can transform from a learner to a contributor,ultimately forming an autonomous knowledge system rooted in indigenous Chinese cultural logic and endowed with global dialogue capability.
