Improving the resilience of the grain system is an inevitable requirement for the in-depth implementation of the na-tional food security strategy and the continuous improvement of the ability to ensure food security.This paper explains the impact mechanism and mechanism of agricultural insurance on the resilience of the grain system,and conducts an empirical test based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2009 to 2023.The regression results show that agricultural insurance can significantly improve the resilience of the grain system,and the scale management of farmland plays an intermediary role in it.The heterogeneity analysis reveals that there were regional differences in the impact of agricultural insurance on the resilience of the grain system,specifically manifesting as significant improvement effects in the central region and the main grain producing areas.The impact of a-gricultural insurance on the resilience of the grain system has a threshold effect.When the compensation expenditure of agricultural insurance crosses the threshold,the improvement effect of agricultural insurance will be weakened.Therefore,we should build a high-quality agricultural insurance system,implement differentiated agricultural insurance policies,promote preferential policies to agricultural insurance companies,and accelerate the application of digital information technology,so as to fully leverage the role of agricultural insurance in improving the resilience of the grain system.
